    Responsibilities

    NewWave seeks a qualified Finance and Contract Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing project financial and subcontract administration, of one or several contracts, or managing the financial and subcontract administration of a complex contract. He or she will liaise with customer and internal stakeholders. This position may be involved in division’s new business proposals or other responsibilities outside the managed contract.

    • Responsible for the administration subcontracts for a complex project or multiple non-complex projects. Works with NewWave Contracts Department to create new sub contracts and/or modifications to sub contracts and negotiates subcontract terms.
    • Monitor subcontractor performance and work with program manager to address subcontractor noncompliance.
    • Ensure that subcontractors adhere to subcontract terms.
    • Assure compliance with Company, client, local and other legal administrative requirements and regulations.
    • Responsible for correct financial reporting to client and senior management.
    • Develop and manage financial monitoring and reporting systems in compliance with company and customer standards.
    • Track program budgets and financial indicators comply with all contract financial reporting requirements
    • Work with management to develop the program budget and spend plan; create sub contract budgets; oversee the creation of the field budgets; develop revenue plans (backlog plans).
    • Work with management and business development to develop cost proposals if required
    • Conduct subcontractor and financial risk analysis; advise management of improvements or implement improvements.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS with 7 years of business, financial, contracts experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to perform analysis as defined by specific laws, regulations, manuals, instructions and any additional information assigned by management.
    • Experience in government contracting
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Quality focused with strong attention to detail
    • Effective analytical problem-solving skills
    • Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment under minimal supervision

    Preferred

    • Ability to work in a team environment and have sound judgment.
    • Maintain the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of all deliverables.
    • Able to work closely with all stakeholders
