    Responsibilities

    The Senior Knowledge Engineer job includes developing and maximizing the value an organization achieves through “knowledge.” Incumbent will leverage the intellectual capital in the organization to produce and publish information with the goal of sharing know how/capabilities, capitalizing on customer relationships, exploiting success stories, sharing best practices, documenting innovation, and optimizing knowledge articles for our clients and other PR purposes. The Senior Knowledge Engineer through gap analysis, metric evaluations, working with SMEs, will edit and publish frequent content to expand the company’s knowledge base and support strategic company initiatives. More definition of this role will occur during the initial 90-day period, therefore incumbent must demonstrate commitment and flexibility as the organization optimizes for future growth.

    • Publishes articles, blogs, social media, presentations, and/or other web content to demonstrate company thought leadership in a range of areas as a means to increase credibility and create relevance for new public and private sector markets opportunities.
    • Actively promotes the knowledge agenda within and beyond the company.
    • Serves as a senior leader and resource in helping customers, partners, vendors, and other external organizations learn about the organization’s knowledge and its strategic importance.
    • Contributes, builds, and implements SEO best practices for the knowledge base articles
    • Supports business initiatives and goals and maps knowledge impacts and implement change/solutions.
    • Works with our BD team and other senior leaders to establish business objectives for content projects and content development for new pursuits.
    • Defines and documents Knowledge Management processes, procedures, and identify/track measures.
    • Analyzes the individual parts of an overall project to form a holistic view of the end state with emphasis on creating and recording new processes, documentation, and repeatable success stories that demonstrate company capabilities.
    • Assists in the creation and optimization of knowledge articles and support site content.
    • Develops, maintains and continually improves the creation and use of knowledge.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience, including:
    • 5-7 years of experience in content management and/or process analytics field
    • Project management experience
    • Strong technical writing and editing skills
    • Ability to work effectively independently and under deadlines
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Required

     

    • Proven experience of Knowledge Management processes.
    • Strong technical writing and copy editing skills; preparing, rewriting and editing copy to improve readability.
    • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and strong time management skills.
    • Experience leading and collaborating within cross-functional work teams,
    • Proven ability in taking direction, clarifying, defining, and delivering content requirements.
    • Demonstrated experience with identifying, tracking, and managing project issues / challenges and ensure they are reported and resolved in a proactive and timely manner.
    • Superior ability to be detail-, deadline-, and results-oriented.
    • Proven successful experience as independent contributor with ability to drive results.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Proven ability to receive constructive feedback and adapt / change style.
    • Ability to cultivate solid, productive working relationships with internal managers, staff, and peers as well as partners and consultants and facilitate collaboration towards innovative technical solutions.
    • Ability to maintain an extended work schedule to meet unplanned new business opportunities or customer requirements.
    • Well versed in technology and energetic ability to achieve results.
    • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
    • Quickly identifies challenges for customers and proactively works to resolve them in an innovative manner. 
    • A passionate learner with the ability to quickly understand complex technology systems
