    Responsibilities

    The Health Informatics Analyst is responsible for coordinating health services research requests, tracking detailed specifications, performing quality checks on final products, and assisting with pricing estimates.  Also responsible for maintaining data documentations, tracking all contact information in a confidential manner, producing progress reports, and monitoring various processes and procedures.

    • Coordinating data requests, tracking request specifications, and performing quality checks.
    • Maintaining Medicare/Medicaid data documentation.
    • Coordinating CMMI processes, including change requests, gathering business requirements, and developing test plans.
    • Monitoring timeliness of data requests, updating data files/elements, implementing changes to data processing methods, and assessing the impact of changes on existing methods
    • Working with technical staff to enhance internal applications, specify new reports, and test applications enhancements.
    • Serving as a resource for internal and external customers and as a liaison between technical and non-technical staff.
    • Developing enhancements to the data request tracking system with the technical development team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent in nursing, health informatics or in a related field.
    • 2-5 years’ experience working with health services data for quality improvement, reporting, or analytic purposes.
    • 2-5 years’ experience working with data elements, data definitions/dictionaries, user documentation, and data collection.
    • 2-5 years’ experience with project coordination.

    • Ability to work in a team environment and have sound judgment.
    • Attention to detail, quick learner, have a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Maintain the highest degree of quality, completeness and accuracy of data analysis.
    • Maintain the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of all deliverables.
    • Be able to perform the analysis as defined with specific Medicare laws, regulations, manuals, instructions and any additional information assigned by management.
    • Must possess excellent critical thinking skills, reading and interpretation, writing, and communication skills.
    • Understanding and wide application of methodology and subject matter related concepts, practices, standards and procedures with a general knowledge of other related business disciplines. 
    • Works with limited supervision.

    Technical

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Microsoft Project
    • SharePoint
