    The Health Policy Analyst will work to increase access to affordable, quality health care through research, advocacy, education, and coalition building.  Focuses particularly on access to public programs, including Medicaid and CHP+, health care access and affordability and the smooth implementation of health care reform. The position requires demonstrated skills in research and policy analysis and excellent written and oral presentation skills. 


    • Have a demonstrated commitment to working on behalf of low -income individuals and families.
    • Have excellent research, writing and oral presentation skills.
    • Be comfortable with and have experience making presentations to a wide range of audiences.
    • Be willing to work in collaboration with health consumers, businesses and health care providers.
    • Be an independent and creative thinker and work well as part of a team.
    • Be capable of developing and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of policy makers, stakeholders and constituencies.
    • Required at least three years’ experience with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) MONAHRQ (My Own Network, powered by AHRQ) software for reporting CMS measures data on consumer-oriented websites.



    • Experience working with state and/or federal lawmakers.
    • Quantitative research skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
    • Should be extremely facts and data oriented.
    • Should be deadline and closure oriented.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, persuasion, facilitation and influencing skills.
    • High Energy Levels. Should be self-driven.
    • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and work with cross functional teams including senior level individuals.
    • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities, based on a team building culture.
