    Responsibilities

    The Manager, Test Automation/Quality Assurance defines and implements Test Automation and Quality Assurance for software systems and/or related components and equipment.  Leads and mentors test automation projects and quality assurance testing within established project timelines.  Defines the quality assurance strategy, approach, and execution.  Manages employees engaged in providing test automation solutions and quality assurance in multiple project areas.  Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership, supervising a staff of quality assurance testers.  Participates in the planning and management of projects to time and within budget.  Responsible for understanding/managing project expectations, supporting the Test Automation/Quality Assurance team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying the required resources and supporting the project schedule to ensure timely completion.   Participates in short-rangeand long-range plans for test automation and quality assurance testing for system development and maintenance.  Provide technical expertise to new business development opportunities as needed.

    • Responsible for defining Test Automation and Quality Assurance strategy, approach and execution.
    • Responsible for leading and directing the Quality Assurance team.
    • Provide leadership and technical expertise within Test Automation and Quality Assurance testing.
    • Participate in interviews, induction, training and performance evaluation of all direct reports.
    • Ensure project teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the Test Automation and Quality Assurance strategy as defined.
    • Focus on continuous Quality Assurance improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation.
    • Build and maintain quality standards as well as enforcing testing standards.
    • Monitor all the Test Automation and Quality Assurance activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identify areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
    • Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities to key stakeholders.
    • Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the Test Automation and Quality Assurance effort. This includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.
    • Manage training and continuous learning of direct reports.
    • Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact.
    • Direct the Quality Assurance strategy, methodology, discipline and framework.  Define and implement the Quality Assurance team in areas of automated testing and agile testing.
    • Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques.
    • Work with development and operational managers and to develop and execute Quality Assurance strategies to meet and exceed quality goals.
    • Maintains knowledge and skills of relevant technologies as assigned.
    • Participates in special projects as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline such as information technology, computer science, or engineering, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or experience.
    • 8+ years of related experience, including supervisory experience.
    • 5+ years of Test Automation engineering and Quality Assurance testing experience.
    • Experience working in an Agile Development process.
    • Expertise in creating Test Automation frameworks.
    • Experience developing API automated testing solutions using Selenium, JUnit, Soap UI, and/or JMeter.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques using in test automation, quality assurance and software development.

    Residency Requirement

    • Must have lived in the United States at least 3 out of 5 years.

     

    Technical 

    • Proficient with Selenium Web Driver or equivalent tools to create automation scripts.
    • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
    • Working knowledge of an object-oriented language, such as Java, Python, C++, etc.
    • Working knowledge of SQL
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
