    A Senior UX Content Strategist is an independent contributor to components as well as a contributor to the overall content team. This role typically works on a few discrete projects at a time to define content requirements, develop copy in English for an American audience. They collaborate closely with user researchers and UX designers as well as team members from our product, marketing, and engineering teams. They also contribute to the UX content practice by following existing guidelines, proposing new guidelines as needed, providing feedback to other content strategists, and sharing insights and best practices with team members within and outside of the UX department.


    The technical writer creatively presents complex approaches in written form for the Federal Government and NewWave.  Performs duties and responsibilities commensurate with assigned functional area within a department(s) which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:


    • Writes a variety of technical and communication-related pieces for a wide range of uses.
    • Ensures content is of high quality and conforms to standards.
    • Assesses information architecture needs and makes recommendations on information architecture strategies throughout the organization
    • Conducts research and gathers technical information for use in written documents
    • Applies interpersonal and interviewing skills to gather needed information from executives, customers, teammates, etc.
    • Writes clear, persuasive, and articulate copy; translates technical and other ideas into easily understandable copy; rewrites and reviews provided documentation for inclusion in deliverables to the customer
    • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
    • Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other personnel or establishment personnel.



    • Minimum 4-5 years experience as UX copywriter, content designer, or content strategist
    • Ability to develop copy in a unified voice
    • Understanding of UX design methodologies
    • Effective at communication using a range of tools such as personas, site maps, copy decks, content matrices, and presentation decks
    • Demonstrate an ability to think strategically and work with various forms of input from critique, user test and market/customer feedback
    • Experience collaborating with interaction and visual designers
    • 4-year degree in a related field (e.g. English, Journalism, Business Writing, etc) or equivalent work experience
    • Excellent English language, grammar, and spelling skills for writing, editing, and proofreading
    • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team on various tasks.
    • Skilled at organizing and translating information into clear written documentation; articulating complex concepts and processes in writing
    • Proven ability to effectively research subject matter
    • Experience working in a collaborative environment; ability to work well under tight deadlines and effectively interact with a wide range of personnel
    • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written language communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle, Agile, mobile, and web development

    Residency Requirement

    • Must have lived in the United States at least 3 out of 5 years.


    Technical Skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
    • MS SharePoint

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing

    • High Energy Levels. Should be self-driven.
    • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and work with cross functional teams including senior level individuals.
    • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities, based on a team building culture.
