Responsibilities

The Deputy Program Director will work closely with the Program Director for tactical management of the MACBIS SI team members. This candidate will support the managing and executing of the program to ensure that all customer requirements, business objectives, staffing and communication, management of risks are aligned with MACBIS Program.  Interface with CMS and NewWave senior leadership involving product reviews, bi-weekly and quarterly product meetings according to required business cadence. Directs technical and non-technical staff, mentors’ resources, and collaborates across functional areas with all organizational levels.

 

  • Advise product delivery teams on how to effectively adopt key principles from the U.S. Digital Services Playbook, such as focusing on user needs, delivering iteratively, and using modern technology stacks
  • Effective communication and execution of Product Management and a level understanding of implementing Objective and Key Results (OKR’s)
  • Ability to lead team Newwave and subcontractors to execute the combined vision of CMS
  • Support program financials in accordance with corporate goals
  • Meet and engage with CMS client and other CMS stakeholders face-to-face, via telephone, establish relationships and communicate accomplishments or issues.
  • Establish partnership strategy with Program contractors.
  • Maintain the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of all deliverables.
  • Add to and sustain the Risk and Opportunity Register. Manage program scope effectively.

Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following functional areas: User Experience Design, Lean-Agile Engineering, or DevSecOps.
  • Digital Services and Transformation experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and ability to connect with both the client and the team.
  • Healthcare/CMS experience is preferred
  • PMP Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and have sound judgment.
  • Attention to detail, quick learner, have a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to perform the analysis as defined with specific Medicare laws, regulations, manuals, instructions and any additional information assigned by management.
  • Possess critical thinking skills, reading and interpretation, writing, and communication skills.
  • Understanding and wide application of methodology and subject matter related concepts, practices, standards and procedures with a general knowledge of other related business disciplines.
  • Able to work closely with all project stakeholders such as business users, project managers, and business analysts while delivering solutions.
  • 10+ Years of Experience in Project/Program capacity.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Microsoft Project
  • SharePoint
  • Azure DevOps (Formerly VSTS)
  • Atlassian Tool suite

Residency Requirement

  • Must have lived in the United States at least 3 out of 5 years.
