The successful candidate will be part of a highly professional, results-oriented company and will provide timely and reliable cost, schedule, and technical performance measurements to program managers in accordance with the established EVMS.
Provides management techniques that relates resource planning to schedules and to technical, cost, and schedule requirements. All work is planned, budgeted, and scheduled in time-phased “planned value” increments constituting a cost and schedule measurement baseline. Reviews and reports effective internal cost and schedule management control systems to permit the Government to be able to rely on timely data produced for determining product-oriented contract status. Also provides subject matter expertise support in the creation and maintenance of detailed project plans and comparing work plans to statements of work. Conducts assessments and evaluations of project performance through the independent analysis and interpretation of objective and subjective evidence, and through direction discussion with project team members. Conducts extensive research on EVMS related topics in order to provide subject matter expertise to contracts with EVMS requirements. Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
Works closely with program managers to provide guidance on the determining earned value variances for cost control, resource management, and scheduling;
Responsible for maintaining project baseline integrity, providing comprehensive variance analyses to
appropriate levels of management and ensuring managers are made aware of actual or potential problems;
Duties may include budget forecasting, variance identification and schedule analyses to advise all levels of Government leadership on cost, schedule, budget, and calculated EVM metrics. Impacts to program
milestones, future budget cycles and reporting on dependencies and opportunities for efficiencies are based on metrics, calculations, and resources. These tasks may require the advanced use of automated project scheduling, web-portal budget, and information management systems to track and report regular status on ad hoc requests or on a reoccurring basis for integrated and individual projects.
